INITIAL CONTACT.
READ THE WHOLE OF THIS PAGE BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANYTHING SUGGESTED.

When you have read this page and understood its contents you will be well on your way to your first experience of a constructive State of Altered Awareness, where you will make significant changes within yourself and begin to feel the benefits.

Remember the aims.  Complete CONTENTMENT in everything and complete CONTROL over everything, both physical and mental.

You are about to move aside Conscious and involve it as little as possible at this stage.  Later you will learn how to close it down completely.  But for now, and to start out, and get you familiar with it, as well as to demonstrate not only how, but the fact that it does work and will work for you, I want you to:-

Take a pad of common lined writing paper.  The student A4 size is ideal though not essential.  Anything you can write on and where there is a reasonable supply to hand, will do fine.  For during this exercise and any subsequent or similar exercises, of which there will probably be many, if you find yourself running out of paper then the break to obtain further supplies will ruin everything that you have achieved, during that particular exercise and up to that point.  Attempts to redo it later are never as effective as the first attempt and therefore every effort should be made to ensure its initial success.

Then, using a pen, pencil, biro etc and in your OWN HAND WRITING, (typewriters, word processors, speech activated software, Dictaphones and any other form of recording apparatus are NOT ACCEPTABLE AND DO NOT WORK), head it:-

Higher Intelligence.
Copy to Subconscious.

Dear Higher Intelligence,

From this point on spelling, handwriting and grammar are immaterial, for it is NOT how you write but WHAT YOU WRITE that is important.

Then write, as you would a letter to a very dear and very, very intimate friend, for that is what your Higher Intelligence is.  It is, without doubt, your best friend.  The only one who truly cares about YOU.  The only one who understands YOU.  The only one who wants to help YOU.  The only one who does not condemn or criticise YOU.  The only one who will do exactly as YOU wish without question, without modification.  The only one who 'truly' loves YOU and can be trusted never to waver from it.  The only one YOU can really depend on.  The only one YOU can rely on, that YOU can trust and that will not betray YOU whatever the circumstances.

Just start and tell Higher Intelligence what makes you so annoyed about things as they are, with you, at the moment.  Tell it what makes you so cross and angry.  What scares or frightens you.  Who or what you feel threatened by.  Avoiding at this stage any hopes, desires or aspirations for this letter is a letter of complaint.  Tell it only what is wrong, what you don't like, what you don't want.  What you want to be rid of and why you want to be rid of it.  If you can tell it who, or what, you think might be to blame for it all, and why and what they could have, and perhaps should have, done about it in the first place, then do so.  Jump from subject to subject as much as you wish but if you find yourself preoccupied on one particular item or one small group of related subjects, then concentrate on them.  Be honest and tell the truth, as you see it and not necessarily as it is, and even if to do so hurts, for you are telling no one other than yourself.  You are talking to Higher Intelligence, via Subconscious and NO-ONE else.  Write and write and write, ignoring spelling, grammar and punctuation.  Let sentence run into sentence and forget all about starting new lines etc. for there is no such thing in my philosophy as neat and tidiness within these exercises.  Concentrating on triviality like that is to tempt and perhaps invite Conscious to come in and that is the last thing you want.  It is what you are saying and WHY you are saying it and not how you say it that is important and plays the essential role in the order of things and guarantees its success.

DO NOT GO BACK TO CHECK, IN ANYWAY, ANYTHING YOU HAVE WRITTEN OR HOW YOU HAVE WRITTEN IT.  IF YOU SUDDENLY FEEL IT MIGHT NOT BE RIGHT, IGNORE IT, AND JUST CARRY ON AND REWRITE ABOUT IT IN THE WAY YOU THINK IT SHOULD BE, EVEN IF THAT SHOULD, INADVERTENTLY, RESULT IN YOU REPEATING YOURSELF.

But ANYBODY can do that?  Just write?

Of course they can and I know they can.  But can they do it as you are doing it?  No, and why?

Because they will not be aware, as you will, of the feelings inside them as they write.  They have not prepared themselves, as you have, to feel the feelings you feel.  They will not feel the fear, the anger, the sadness, the frustrations that you will.  They will not feel, as you will, the tightening in the pit of the stomach, the mild initial headaches, the dithering, the trembling, the sweating.  They may write but will they feel the emotive responses attached to what they are writing, as you will?  They will not burst into tears or openly curse at people and at things, as you will.  They will not recognise where blame lies, as you will, and place it squarely where and with whom it belongs.  When you write about things that make you angry you will feel anger, if there is anger to be felt.  You will burst into tears and make no attempts to suppress it when the feelings are there.  You will feel real fear if there is fear to be felt.  You will know and you will tell Higher Intelligence where the blame for all these things lie, even if you are not too sure if it is true and you will be perfectly happy to let Subconscious decide what is and what is not.  When you get, feel, a strong response building within you, you will not suppress it but will concentrate on writing on the subject or related subjects that are causing it.  You will only move on when the subject is exhausted and you feel nothing further.
Others, not aware of this exercise, will not concentrate on the feelings they experience as they write and will not keep going however strongly those feeling are, as you will.  They will not return to the same subject and go over it again and again, writing about it as many times as is necessary and until the subject is completely exhausted and there is nothing else left to feel, as you will.

Not feeling the feelings that you will feel, they will not, as you will, be communicating directly with Higher Intelligence and there lies the secret.  For Higher Intelligence, as you now know, responds very well to emotional charges, feelings, and therefore your feelings and the subject matter attached to them is everything that Higher Intelligence needs to make the necessary beneficial changes on your behalf.
Also and sadly, others outside the scope of this exercise will not experience the feelings of relief that will manifest as a result, of releasing emotion, as you will.  They will not notice the changes that you will.  They will not get the benefits that you will and what is more they will not return to it as often as you will.  They will not stick at it as doggedly as you will.  They will not achieve the great things that you will and all because you and not them, have actively set out to achieve them.

Run out of time?  Run out of emotional feelings for this session?  Not run out of paper, I hope?

Good!  Then SIGN it, at the end, using your Full First Name(s) and add a few xxx's.  It loves you so why not show it that the feelings are mutual.
PLACE IT ALL FACE DOWN.

DO NOT READ IT.  DON'T EVEN LOOK AT IT.

For to do so requires Conscious effort and you know what the Conscious does?  It spoils everything so you don't want to give it the slightest chance by even putting the minutest temptation it's way.  When you have to, when it is unavoidable and absolutely essential, then you must ensue that you keep it to a minimum and, in this case, by NOT reading what you have written is one way of doing just that.

Fold the letter and place it in any old envelope that you can securely seal, and write NOTHING on the outside.

Take a pair of scissors and starting at one corner cut the whole thing diagonally into thin shreds.  Or you can cut thin shreds partway into the envelope and then cut diagonally across them so that you end up with masses of little diamond shaped shreds.  Don't try and tare it, you can't get it small enough and the whole idea is that from the remains it should be impossible to even read one single word, although you are not even going to try, as you are going to burn them or flush them down a toilet or scatter them to the wind, as long as it is safe to do so, of course.  If you have a mechanical shredder then your job is much easier although you must put the whole envelope through and not individual pages.  You must at all costs avoid seeing anything you have written, once it is written, because even one single word can trigger a memory and that memory maybe the one that Conscious grabs and through it ruins everything.

YOU WERE DISTURBED WHILE WRITING?

This sadly can happen and may prove to be a bit of a nuisance from time to time.  So let the following basic rule apply to ALL your exercises.  If you are disturbed, in any way, abandon the exercise and only come back to it after a reasonable time lapse and when it is safe and sensible for you to do so.  Never try to just carry on from where you were broken off as it seldom works and more so in the beginning when you are just starting out and getting used to the idea.  If circumstances are ideal, which they rarely are, you might try again sooner but always ere on the side of caution to begin with. 

What will you have achieved, apart from the obvious and that is how you will feel at the end of the session? You will have successfully pushed Conscious out of the way with your writing; which is a Subconscious activity.  You sat and wrote, a fairly relaxed occupation, physically at least and so took some pressure off Subconscious with that, and allowed it to concentrate more on the writing.  You obtained the cooperation of Subconscious by using the writing and relaxing and you elicited emotional feelings which meant that Higher Intelligence had no choice but to register that fact and if the desire was to remove those undesirable emotions, as expressed in the writing, then it had no choice but to do so.  Bad emotions always suppress the good, a fact that I established from my own experiences a long time ago and have exploited to the full since then, and therefore with the elimination of the bad, however small at this point, it will have allowed the good to expand and that is the feeling you will experience (and usually, though not always, those feelings are accompanied by a great sense of relief and well being).

Writing, particularly under the conditions I have stipulated and in the circumstances and using the basic rules outlined, will bring good results and will improve the more you use it.  Also not only does it serve as a solid grounding and prepare you to move on to more complex techniques but it is a good, solid 'stand alone' technique that can be used at anytime for a wide variety of things all of which will become clear to you as you progress.

FINALLY, when you come to the end of your letters, ALWAYS thank Higher Intelligence for its KINDNESS, COOPERATION AND UNDERSTANDING.  Even if you are not too sure, at that point, that anything has actually happened.

YOUR NEXT LETTER, which should not be written before the following day or at least within several hours of the last one unless there is a compelling urge, with very strong emotional feelings, to write straight away, should always start off by saying words to the effect, 'Thank you for your understanding and the solving of all the previous problems, it is very much appreciated and life is now much better.  We now draw your attention to,' etc.  (You can either use 'we' or 'I'.  I prefer 'We' as it then includes Conscious and Subconscious).

The idea there is to get Subconscious and Higher Intelligence to quickly latch on to what you are trying to achieve and because they are part of you, once that is established then things will always go that much smoother.  But don't forget Higher Intelligence 'remembers' nothing so it is essential you always open up in the same way and close at the end as suggested every time.

POINTS TO REMEMBER.
Always include in your writing specific instructions as to where you want Higher Intelligence to take direct action. 'Now that we have come to terms with.........and released all the negative emotion associated with it and will not be bothered by it ever again, from this point on, we need to deal with.........'  Don't ask it if it will do something.  Tell it to do it.  Notice also I say, 'Now that we have come to terms with.'   Not, 'I have,' and 'we need to deal with,' and not, 'I need to deal with.'  You are working with both Subconscious and Higher Intelligence and representing Conscious, so at all times it should be plural.

Never forward project, as the future (as in tomorrow) never comes.  Never say, 'I would like this to happen,' say. 'This will happen.' Never say such things as, 'It would be nice if.' Higher Intelligence can't quantify nice.  Try, 'From this moment on, this or that will happen.'  Don't use, 'This will,' and then not say when, as you have again set no time limit and Subconscious will simply file it under 'no further action until a time is specified.'

Never use such expressions as, 'Why didn't you when you knew.'  Higher Intelligence knows nothing of previous sessions that, as far as it is concerned, are done and gone.  If for some reason you fail to achieve a particular goal, start over again, as if it is all brand new, and do that and repeat it, for as many times as it takes.

You are talking to yourself so you don't have to beg or plead or suggest or hint.  You are telling yourself what Higher Intelligence should already know, and it probably does, but you are now telling it in a way that will enable it to sort everything out and rearrange things, as you would like them to be arranged.

One final word of warning (well perhaps two).  Don't let any of those forgoing instructions or precautions put you off and certainly don't let them overly influence you while you are actually writing.  But don't forget, also, if you drift away from the prime task, you are inviting Conscious to come in and once again that, as you know, is fatal.  Further, and this is sometimes hard to accept, particularly when you are keen for results, there will be none.  No readily noticeable and recognisable reaction despite a good emotive response.  I believe this comes about for two main reasons.  There is something, still in there, that is overriding everything else and preventing the changes, that you have been working on, from taking place.  So you need to be looking elsewhere and releasing those items first in order to make way for all the rest, which eventually will come through.  Or Subconscious will, for reasons I have never been able to fully understand, apply some sort of delay and the desired results will eventually manifest themselves in their own good time and I have had experience of both.

You will quickly learn what is good and bad for you and what seems to work the best for you as you go along.  But the above are all points worth considering initially as are the following.

REMEMBER.  At all times you are talking to yourself through writing and at the end all material evidence, having been successfully transmitted to Higher Intelligence, is going to be destroyed so you can write exactly what you want and say it how you want to say it, and use any words and language you choose.  There need not be, in fact there should not be, any restraints.
It is all right to talk, in fact it is essential if you wish to achieve the maximum benefit from your inner most feelings, your environment and all the people around you, both from the present and from your past.  No one is going to find out anything about it but the one person you want to find out, you, and then the you will come to terms with it and sort it all out, in that inner part where it is important, Higher Intelligence.  So do not hold back, for to do so kids no one but yourself.  If you really would like to strangle the kid down the street or tell aunty to go get lost, then say so.  You are not going to go out and do anything physical about it, but if your feelings are so strong about something then you must say so.  Be brutally honest with yourself over everything.  It works wonders.  Secret loves, fantasies and desires are all better off 'out in the open,' so to speak, but of course not literally as your letters are going to be destroyed and your inner most secrets are going to remain secrets, but your inner changes will put them all in a better perspective and make them much more acceptable to live with.
